Indonesian Police Clearance Certificate Application / Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK)
The Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Australia does not have the authority to issue or facilitate applications for the Indonesian Police Clearance Certificate (Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian – SKCK).
The Indonesian National Police (INP/Mabes Polri) in Indonesia is the sole institution authorised to issue this document. Therefore, the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra is unable to process or assist with applications for this document.
Applying for an SKCK from Australia and Indonesia
Applications for an SKCK—whether from Indonesia or while residing in Australia—must be submitted through the POLRI SUPER APP mobile application (https://presisi.polri.go.id/).
To facilitate your application, we recommend arranging for a representative or relative in Indonesia to assist with the submission. Registration on the POLRI SUPER APP application may require an Indonesian local number or a previous/current KITAS/KITAP.
If you are in Indonesia, you may seek assistance directly at:
Bidang Yanmas Baintelkam Polri
Gedung "D", Mabes Polri
Jl. Trunojoyo No. 3, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta 12110
Phone: +62 21 7220554 or +62 21 7236545
Eligibility for Non-Indonesian Citizens
Non-Indonesian citizens applying for an SKCK must hold a valid:
KITAS (Temporary Stay Permit – Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas), or
KITAP (Permanent Stay Permit – Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap).
Under the Regulation of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police No. 18 of 2014 on the Procedure for Issuance of Police Clearance Certificates (Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian – SKCK), Article 11 stipulates that only KITAS and KITAP holders are eligible for SKCK. Possession of a Visitor Visa or any other visa type does not meet the eligibility criteria for SKCK issuance.
IMPORTANT: This is a strict requirement for SKCK issuance. The Embassy will not respond to emails or calls requesting alternative arrangements, as we have no authority over SKCK processing. Contacting the Embassy does not constitute an application. Additionally, the Embassy does not provide any service to issue letters confirming the non-issuance of an SKCK for individual cases.
